...To say I was looking forward to the next band is an understatement. Blood Orange never fail to deliver and on the night it was in my opinion the best I have ever seen this band perform. Led by a truly great frontman in Neil, and supported ably by skin bashing Simon, Bass Master Fury and Gilly...

I could not take my eyes off of them for 1 glorious second. They soon had the audience eating out of their hands, dancing in the aisles and singing along with the catchiest tunes of the night. "Tongue Tied" and "Days Like These" just begged for people to get up and rock...

... it seemed like hundreds of people could not control themselves and let themselves go including Mr PA Maaaarley himself. Amazing...

Goth-tinged melodic rock act, Blood Orange, drip with stunning, almost studio-smooth sound quality. Lead vocalist, Neil Padgett, leans precariously over the edge of the stage, his voice intoxicatingly sweet yet stuck through with an atmospheric touch of needling spite. Countless intricate melodies are executed with flawless precision, both luxuriant and acidic-edged in character. The frantic riffs of Tongue Tied possess a captivating, crowd-pleasing, yet almost manic-depressive energy. (Faye Coulman - Sandman Magazine)

...They merge songs together with bursts of heaviness coming out of nowhere, with a spot on sound. They're pleasing to the ears and even my mother liked them...but refrain from thinking negatively because they have an accessible sound which may attract a large fan base...

...Burst into action is exactly what Blood Orange does with the excellent song "Sun Rise" opening the set the band don't pause for breath before delivering the next two numbers "Pieces" and "Sweet Life". The audience's interest is grabbed by the scruff of the neck as Neil (vocals); Gilly (lead guitar), Paul (bass) and Simon (drums) rattle on through their set. The front man Neil struts around mesmerising every one in the room with his intensely moody performance, crouching one second hanging from the rafters the next... half way through the show Blood Orange treat us to "Tongue Tied" a tune you can't get out of you're head... Blood Orange's style is difficult to put you're finger on, a subtle blend of Heavy Metal and Power Rock is how I view them. The drummer Simon gives them a thunderous beat and Gillys' guitar style gives the band a unique sound. No one leaves the Gallows unhappy tonight...
